Alexis has been obsessed with social media since Twitter became popular during her freshman year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her peers knew her as the go-to person who managed social accounts for organizations across campus.
Since then, her love of social media marketing, tech, content creation, and teaching others how to use digital tools and platforms to build a brand blossomed into the idea for The Content Plug, as her peers know me as the "plug" when they have a pressing social media question.
During the many years of hesitation to begin The Content Plug, Alexis managed social media platforms and created content for brands such as The Andy Roddick Foundation, BlackPeopleMeet.com, the NCAA Final Four, and numerous other businesses nationwide. Alexis also taught classes/hosted workshops focused on social media via General Assembly, SXSW, and the Texas Conference for Women.
It was the gentle and consistent nudging of friends and family that made Alexis realize she needed to make her own dreams come true, which in turn helps your dreams come true!
In the rare moments she is not working with clients, you can catch Alexis going on a long run, recording videos for her YouTube Channel, and frequenting restaurants that serve the best macaroni & cheese.
